Young Researchers’ Forum

SPACE 2018 will include a "Young Researchers Forum" to provide a platform to young researchers for presenting ongoing study and research projects, new research directions and challenges on topics relevant the SPACE conference ( Young researchers are invited to submit an abstract of at most 1000 words to present their study and/or an arguable opinion about an issue without the need to present completed research work and/or validated results. However, the submission should be supported/corroborated by theoretical foundations, experiments, or experiences. For the purposes of this call, the term "young researchers" includes students pursuing a Ph.D., Masters, undergraduate or any other degree, researchers who have recently completed their degree, researchers working in academia, industry or elsewhere, among others.

The presentation will be in a poster format during a poster session open to the SPACE participants. Posters should clearly explain the contents of your research without the need of an oral explanation and and authors must be next to their poster during the poster session for discussions with the audience. The maximum and recommended poster size is A0. Authors can prepare a single printed poster or separate pieces. Poster presenters should bring their own poster to the conference venue on the poster presentation date. Poster boards and pushpins will be provided by the conference. Please ensure that the poster is placed on the board before the beginning of the poster session.

The deadline for submitting the abstracts is 31 October 2018. The submissions must be done through the EasyChair portal ( The title of the submitted abstracts must have the prefix "Poster:". However, the selected submissions will be presented as posters during a poster session which will be in the conference technical program and at least one author of every accepted abstract must present a poster at the poster session. The submitted abstracts or posters will be not published in the conference proceedings and the authors will retain the copyright to publish their studies in future conferences and/or journals.

The best submissions will be recognized with certificates and awards. The registration fees of the presenting students of the top three submissions will be waived off and depending on the available funding, SPACE may provide waivers / financial support to the participating authors (especially students, at least the ones presenting).
